I am an Assistant Professor of Finance at Texas A&M International University. I earned my Ph.D. in Finance from Louisiana State University and previously served as a faculty member at BIBM, the training institute of the Central Bank of Bangladesh.
My research is in empirical banking: deposit pricing and market power, bank networks and consolidation, and bank misconduct and regulatory enforcement, with related work in FinTech, innovation, and corporate finance. I often use textual analysis and machine learning to build new measures.
